The BendMaster has been specially designed for the automation of the bending process.

Its uniform concept, encompassing software, sensors, material flow and gripper technology, is suitable for the processing of small or large parts.

With its two sizes for up to 60 kg, and up to 150 kg bearing load, the BendMaster is the solution for any application. The bandmaster can be teamed up with virtually any of the TRUMPF TruBend 5000 series press brakes

Productivity

The system works in the follow sequence. Once the correct tooling, and program has been loaded by the operator. The robotic arm which follow a track in the floor, move to the correct material position. The robotic head is equipped with a camera on the opposite side of the gripper. (see picture). This camera system ensures the correct part is being processed as well as checks for squareness. If the part is out of square, the gripper will adjust as it picks the part.

Double Sheet Separation Sensor System

Its sensor for sheet positioning detection and double sheet separation, unique on the market, allow the BendMaster to ensure reliable processes and high productivity.

Detection of sheet positioning is done quickly so you don't need any mechanical centering table to orient the stack exactly. Weight sensors integrated into the arm of the BendMaster detect when two sheets have accidentally been fed at the same time. If two sheets are detected the system will attempt to separate them.

Gripper Technology

The TRUMPF gripper system offers the right concept for your parts, whether you're using vacuum technology for large parts or mechanical finger gripper technology for small parts.

Vacuum technology

TRUMPF offers a wide variety of grippers in vacuum technology, including individually controllable circuit grippers and individually adjustable multigrippers.

Our modular system is particularly flexible, allowing you to assemble grippers to meet your specific needs.

Mechanical finger gripper technology

The mechanical finger gripper allows the automated bending of small parts. Its linear axis saves time-consuming regripping.

Flow of material

Pictured is a typical but not limited layout of a TRUMPF Bendmaster. Parts can be loaded and unloaded from several pallets or the system can be tied into a fully automated storage system where as parts from the punching machine or laser can be feed to the bending cell.
