Types of TRUMPF Power Tools
TruTool TSC Slat Cleaner
If you cut sheet metal with a flatbed laser machine, now you can save up to 75% of the cost of support slats. The TRUMPF TruTool TSC 100 slat cleaner cleans slag from your laser slats much more quickly than cleaning by hand. This enables you to use your support slats significantly longer. Thanks to a new process, the TruTool TSC 100 slat cleaner removes accumulated slag very thoroughly. The slats are even cleaned on the sides as well as in the hard-to-reach spaces in between resulting in outstanding cleanliness. The slat cleaner automatically adapts to different slag thicknesses. The TruTool TSC 100 is operated by just one person and the machine is very easy to handle. On flatbed laser machines with a pallet changer, cleaning takes place while production is running. The slats don't even have to be removed. The slat cleaner can be used for the most diverse materials. Even stainless steel slag is reliably removed so that even heavily soiled slats do not represent a problem. Another bonus is that the slat cleaner is able to clean selectively - in other words, it can be used on any specific area and then removed.
TruTool N series Nibblers
TRUMPF is the only manufacturer to offer a series of Nibblers, which can handle any sheet thickness between the 1/32" and 3/8" range. Two different types of tool systems are available for fast, safe cutting of a variety of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics in different thicknesses. This allows distortion-free cutting, easy guidance, economical operation and excellent performance. For the sheet thickness range under .14 inch, the patented hollow round punch nibblers offer unsurpassed manoeuvrability, and the ability to rotate on the spot. Above the .14 inch capacity range, rectangular punches are used. TRUMPF nibblers work on the principle of a “punching” cut. Downward chip discharge guarantees a clear view of the working area. The tool can be positioned in different directions, depending on the application. TRUMPF always has the right nibbler or the right profile nibbler for you. Each one operates free of distortion, emissions and sparks. Nibblers are especially used for sheet metal work, coil cutting or container and tank assembly and disassembly. Profile nibblers are the ideal tools for sheet metal workers, plumbers, and for roofing and siding construction.
TruTool TKF series Bevellers
In many cases, environmentally unsafe methods are still being used in the preparation of clean edges for welding. The grinding of corroded or coated materials, for example, results in dust, sparks gases, fumes, etc. The principles of the TRUMPF series of bevellers provide a better alternative. Uniform, oxide-free and metallically clean K, Vee, X and Y joints can be prepared reliably, quickly and accurately. TRUMPF offers you four machines for portable and stationary use for efficient preparation of welding edges. Minimal set-up time, coupled with long tool life, guarantee efficient and economical operation. Various cutting heads are available to achieve the correct angle of bevel. TRUMPF bevellers have long proven themselves in industries where fast, reliable welding preparation is an essential part of operations. The TruTool TKF-series bevellers are used on flat sheet, pipe and tubing applications to produce clean, even, oxide-free, metallically clean K, V, X and Y edges. Bevel quality is maintained even on curved edges and inside cutouts.
TruTool Slitting Shears or Double Cut Shears
The unique tooling system of the TRUMPF Double Cut Shears is designed for maximum user-friendliness: with the quick release bolt, cutters can be exchanged quickly and safely in a matter of seconds. Four long wearing center cutters are available for optimum performance in various applications. The position of the outside fixed cutters can be reversed, doubling their tool life. The C 160 provides an excellent view of the workpiece for precision cutting along scribed lines, whether straight or curved. The C 160-2 Plus with integrated chip clipper is ideal for cutting notches and internal cutouts. Using the optional parallel stop, strips come out perfect. For stationary operation, TRUMF also offers an optional work station. TRUMPF slitting shears are in use in a wide variety of industries, such as drywall construction, facade construction, ventilation and air channel construction, and chassis and aircraft manufacture. They feature both high speed and distortion free cutting, and it's especially simple to work with them. Thanks to the quick-release locking bolt, you can change the blade in only 15 seconds without using tools.
TruTool S series Shears
The current line of Shears offered by TRUMPF reflects the variety of practical shearing applications: the range of sheet thicknesses to be cut, different materials, mobility and high capacity requirements. TRUMPF Shears for cutting mild steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics are high-quality, precision manufactured products in every aspect. The fixed blade carriers made of high-tensile steel and the exact position of the fixed cutters offer cutting ease, excellent manoeuvrability around curves and precise placement of the fixed cutter blades. TRUMPF Shears are precision-manufactured products of well-conceived design and are user-oriented, with low-cost spare and wearing parts. TRUMPF offers sheet metalworkers, plumbers, electrical installers, sanitary installers, heating and air conditioning installers, and container and elevator builders the perfect shear for any application. You can be perfectly equipped for any ferrous or non-ferrous metal in different sheet thicknesses and for different applications. Thanks to the field-tested cutting geometry of our machines you can cut with minimal damage to the surface of the material and with no thermal effects.
TruTool F series Seam Lockers
With the TRUMPF F 300 Series Seam Lockers, Pittsburgh seams are closed in a fast, quiet, automatic rolling operation without damaging visible surfaces or coatings. The automatic feed control guarantees quality seam locking. The important qualification for these tools is the height of the seam to be closed: the F 301, recommended for applications from 19 to 26 gauge, requires a minimum seam height of 1/4". The F 300 is recommended for 18 gauge duct, and requires a minimum seam height of 5/16".
The F 125-0 closes standing seams automatically, with quick simple thickness adjustments. Whether working with standing, angular or Pittsburgh seams, TRUMPF seam lockers offer fast, reliable and portable sealing for assembly at the job site. If you are in the HVAC, roof and wall, general construction or metal fabricating field, TRUMPF has the right tool for your job. The TruTool F series seam locker automatically adjusts to your material thickness and seam height and the process gives you a consistent, tight seam.
TruTool TF series Power Fasteners
Whether in HVAC or in container and equipment construction, joining is probably the simplest and most cost-effective way to connect two metal parts. The TRUMPF power fastener uses a unique cold-forming technology to punch a small dimple into both sheets and immediately you have an astonishingly stable, long-lasting connection. No screws, no rivets, no emissions, no preparation or cleanup work. With the power fastener you can join coated or uncoated workpieces. There is no limit to the variety of materials. There is no need for pre- or post-processing. And there are no costs for fasteners like screws or rivets. You can work quickly, since two joins per second are created. In a cold forming process the power fastener cuts and forms the connecting element out of the working material. In this process, the upper sheet is tightly and positively connected to the lower sheet.
