Permit me to introduce myself. My name is Don Letourneau of COMEQ. I am the GEKA Product Manager. Our company is the exclusive United States distributor of GEKA "no-slug-loss" Ironworkers. Through our select group of dealers and our direct sales force, we can show you how the GEKA machines will most likely be the best ironworker you can choose. We say "most likely" because we are realistic. There are, of course, a very few instances when other ironworkers may be better for your requirements. Consider us your ironworker consultant. We can make our recommendation based on your requirements. For the majority of situations, GEKA Ironworkers are absolutely the best machine and the best value for the dollar.
This strong statement can be proved if you take just a few minutes to read on. We cannot cover every point here that would be covered in our demonstrations of the machines, the catalogues of the product which are included, or in a sales presentation; but we will list those points that should absolutely be considered.
GEKA Ironworkers avoid waste. GEKA machines do not remove a slug when they shear. Please inspect the slug cut when shearing angle on a competitive machine. You will have such a slug when you buy a double-cut machine; and this is the minimum width we believe you would have to throw away in most slug-type machines. The larger the angle, plate or section you shear, the larger and heavier the slug you lose. Since you pay for steel by weight, you would just be throwing money away.
GEKA Ironworkers are extremely well constructed. All GEKA Ironworkers (single-cylinder and dual cylinder) feature adjustable gibs in the machine frame, a fully enclosed slide, easily replaceable blades, jack bolts in the machine frame to avoid the need to shim after flat bar and angle blade sharpening, and a wide range of options to custom tailor the machines to fit your needs.
GEKA Ironworkers are productive. The machines provide more built-in working stations than most competitive machines. Tool change and set up time is what costs YOU the most money. On GEKA Ironworkers, there is minimal tool change time because of the built-in blades (for angles, flats, rounds, squares, notching, and optionally for channel or other sections), quick change punch holder and jog mode; resulting in quicker response time to fabrication requirements. So for probably less cost per month, you can use a GEKA, the most cost-efficient machine available. GEKA also offers special pricing on its wide range of optional accessories (more costly from others, if they are even available). GEKA offers a special "Productivity Package" on Hydracrop models, including a punch gauging table, a notcher gauging table, a work light, and a 40" electric length gauge. All GEKA Hydracrop machines offer 3" & 4" combination channel blades, as well as, multiple-opening round & square bar blades as standard. GEKA Ironworkers use standard punches and dies available from many manufacturers around the United States.
Our staff and our dealers around the country are available to review your requirements. If the GEKA machine is the best for you, we will tell you; and look forward to the time when you tell us, as many have done, "I am ready for my second GEKA. I don't know how I did without it for so long".
Please give us a call to further discuss your requirements.
Best Regards,
Don Letourneau
